We were very pleased to be asked to speak at the recent Digital Business Ecosystem (DBE) Conference in Helsinki. The DBE is a European Union-led research initiative that aims to connect the services of small businesses together using an Internet-based network with the following characteristics:
easy deployment using model-driven architecture;
allows a business’ services and value proposition be automatically “discovered” by other businesses to the mutual benefit of all parties;
allows the architecture to run either centrally or in a de-centralised peer-to-peer manner, allowing low-cost resilience and fault tolerance.
Agilier worked closely with our partners, Domain Solutions, to help a UK-based business “plug-in” their action management system to interface with their suppliers in the rest of the EU. The DBE is a very promising next-generation business framework. Watch this space!
