1) Book review: "Writing Better Requirements" by Alexander and Stevens

There are plenty of books around covering techniques for gathering requirements; however, these tend to be focussed on a particular development method, such as the RUP or plan-driven, or focussed on a particular engineering discipline, such as software or systems engineering. 2) In the news

A security-related issue caught my eye this month: a widely-respected author considers that penetration testing - where an organisation allows part of its infrastructure to be tested for weaknesses - is of limited use. The author argues that all organisations are vulnerable to some extent and that effort is best spent on reducing the threat rather than trying to eliminate it. 3) ISO9001 award for Agilier

We are pleased to announce that Agilier Ltd has been recommended for certification to IS09001:2000 standard. This award assures that our internal processes and procedures meet the highest independent standards and ensures that we are able offer our customers the most efficient service delivery.

4) Agile Business Conference 2007

Come and meet Agilier's representatives at the Agile Business Conference 2007 - the best opportunity to explore the full range of Agile approaches under one roof. We look forward to seeing you there.

All best wishes for the month ahead.

Kind regards,

Marcus Price
